Living the blockchain dream: Hive community drivers and members meet in Amsterdam for their 7th get-together

Hive (Hive.io) — one of the first blockchains to enable content creators and DApp builders to get rewarded for their contributions — is meeting with community members again in Amsterdam from September 15–18.

While many blockchain and crypto communities exist mainly via anonymous accounts which are driven by monetary gains alone, Hive and its groundbreaking offerings are a living proof of just how different a truly decentralized community-owned Web 3 can be. To celebrate all of the milestones the Hive ecosystem has achieved since inception, the first in-person gathering after the pandemic is fast approaching! End users, developers, investors, gamers, businesses and enthusiasts will be coming together for a three day conference featuring talks and roundtables on Hive’s Web 3-based solutions to real life challenges — as well as to get back down to partying together with friends from all over the world.

The event series originally began in 2016 when the majority of Hive community members were the investors powering a now-abandoned blockchain called Steem(it). With the creation of the grassroots fork that launched Hive and broke away from corporate influence, this premiere event has become an even bigger celebration of the ingenuity, persistence, and power held by a diverse, engaged and active community. HiveFest is the annual gathering for Hive and blockchain enthusiasts, bringing together people from over 90 different countries around the world.

Apart from discussing blockchain innovation, related topics and meeting one another, a major aim of the event is to develop new strategic steps to make this incredible community better positioned in the DPoS space. The Hive blockchain has already gained significant coverage around the success of Splinterlands, which has been repeatedly reported as one of the most played and most popular play-to-earn games of all time.
