Blockchain community sponsors first edition of Street Workout Duals Battles in Latin America
Decentralized / World, May 6, 2022 — Hive (Hive.io) — one of the first blockchains that enabled content creators since March 2020 to get rewarded for their content — announces sponsorship for the Street Workout Community in Venezuela supporting a series of sports competitions. The first event will take place on May 7, 10 AM in Parque Los Aviadores in Maracay, the largest mall in Venezuela and the fourth biggest in Latin America.
With this move the global blockchain continues on its path to prove how a blockchain community can support people and initiatives around the world, especially in countries with failing economies. This second episode is highlighting why blockchain technology is able to bring back hope to the youth of financially struggling countries. An important aim is to demonstrate and showcase reasons why the young generation can stay in their country after a huge emigration wave. With communities such as Hive, young talents realize that personal success from anywhere in the world is possible and there is no need to go abroad and leave their families which would weaken the local economy even more.
The event format is comprised of a 2vs2 athletic competition and will give the street workout (calisthenic) discipline a platform enabling the young generation in Venezuela to prove their skills. The young athletes can establish relations with other contestants, sponsors and brands hopefully enabling them to find their life purpose, ideally a new job straight away or at the very least join Hive.io and follow their entrepreneurial goals, becoming active in the network and community there.
